I understand that side of the argument...and the point I'm making is moot anyway, because it won't happen. I just think it would be cool for special occasions. Either way, I'm happy as long as we never wear all purple uniforms again LOL

I picked up an orange hat with this "C" on it at Knickerbockers this year. I love it and it looks vaguely like the "C" on our rings and on the font used around campus.
Would like to see this for a regular-season game.
For the bowl game, stick to our usual uniform.

I think the metallic look with the large paw is sweet, change is good every once in a while especially for 18-22 year olds!

So you want to look like an arena football team? We have a copyrighted Tiger paw and great traditional uniforms. You don't see traditionally successful programs with gimmicky uniforms and helmets.

I love our unis, they are one of the most recognizable in the country, but it would still be nice to see something different one or 2 games out of the year.

to see a "new look" Clemson uniform for certain occasions. No harm done in using them for certain occasions.
For the record, I like the helmet.
If the naysayers back in 1970 won out, hey, we'd not have the paw.
Here is an excerpt about the history of the paw:
When the Tiger Paw was announced as the official logo in July 1970 — replacing the Fighting Tiger emblem — everyone didn’t exactly welcome it with open arms.
One incensed letter writer said, “I am for progressive change and I approve of many of your innovations, but I cannot go along with changing the Clemson emblem from the tiger to a weak looking black paw. If your designer had even designed a ferocious looking paw it might have been acceptable — but anyone could have taken black magic marker and designed (this). …”
Now, 40 years later, the Clemson Tiger Paw is one of the most recognizable college emblems in the United States. It continues to grace every piece of clothing, marketing material, billboard, water bottle and item that University officials will license.

Ouch.
I would never want to get rid of the paw, of course. I just think that there are some really cool "new, modern look" unis that would be great to see every now and then for the Tigers. Nothing so drastic as a permanent change, but an occasional, tasteful venture into the modern uniform world would be nice to see.

Still I see no changes. I don't often recommend changes to Clemson's football program, but please trustees put some purple tiger stripes on our pretty orange jerseys!!!

Awesome!!! The Paw is Clemson, so use it in different ways. This is very appealing to the 18-22 year old player. Oregon over the last 10 years has done a better job than anyone in the country marketing their program by doing just this type of thing.
