Have a friend in Canada that has a company in India that makes custom automobile parts. Had an item made and thought I would beat the tariff when he set a declared value of $50 on it......tariff was $45.75. Thats OK, I don't have a choice because the Libtards in our country keep running idiots against him.

Yeah...that does create a problem. Maybe the Repubs could have picked someone better in the primary and that could have solved the whole problem too though. Failed by both sides it seems. You are correct though.

We have repeatedly elected Presidents and members of the House and Senate that have not had the courage to solve the problems that we face. The major problem we face is our incredible debt. The Democrats managed to increase the federal budget by 55% in the 4 years they were in control of the House, Senate, and Presidency. Trump is trying to solve several problems at once in the short time he will be President. Our relationship with our so-called friends, and our absolute enemy, China, has included them charging us with tariffs. Most of them are bowing down to his demands.
If should be no surprise to anyone that Americans will pay the price for living high off the hog for the last 24 years. Our national debt increased by $30 trillion since 2001. We are like the person with enormous credit card debt that has never been paid down that somehow manages to get even more credit cards approved. Eventually, that stuff comes back to haunt you and the solution is not just slowing down the rate of growth of the Federal budget or tolerating tariffs on our good sitter shipped overseas or paying to defend the rest of the world without compensation, but also being chastised for the way we do things here in the USA. It is going to require a multi pronged approach, which is what Trump is trying to accomplish.

You believe that China is our enemy ? Then why do we do business with them at all ? Why would US corps spend so much money in China to manufacture goods at such dramatically lower costs than anything that they could produce themselves here ? And then drive up the prices on Americans buying those imported goods because of a convenient political stunt that is ongoing ? Why , if they are the enemy ? If China is our enemy , we sure do exist in a strange reality. Sometimes politics and business confuse and blur the lines so that people who want a certain result or desire a certain narrative will point at one truth while completely ignoring the opposite truths.

China is 1000% an immediate enemy and a global threat....The US spends billions annually to out pace the Chinese in defense technology and advancement....If you consider them just a simple ends to a means for American consumers and production then you are unbelievably naive. The US economy relies heavily on its foreign enemy...that's an absolute fact.

Trumps big beautiful budget increases the debt ceiling by four trillion.
Why do y’all want to make the deficit even bigger? What happened to all that Doge waste and fraud money that Elon and the gang supposedly found that was supposed to pay off the deficit?

That is half the solution

But Americans have to understand they were the ones who drove the business out of the country. The average american citizen who wanted more money, more benefits.
Eventually there is a tipping point on the cost of goods and we say, " fork patriotism.. I'm buying the part from India. "
We all complain about walmart, But we all shop there.

We wanted cheaper goods, but they have come with hidden costs. Technology theft, lassitude among the populace, an eroding pride in “Made in America.” Yeah, we succumbed to the lure of cheaper “pie in the sky” and now we have to wake up and get busy. We may just have gotten too lazy, in which case China wins. It could happen. But we’re historically the against the all odds come back guys. I’m betting that’s what’s going to happen.
