Just watching the Oregon St. game, and from what I see DJ has not improved. Yes they are winning the game against SJS and I don't think anyone expected anything different. If you watch DJ most of his throws are high or low and the receivers are having to jump or go down on one knee to catch them. Same thing as we saw in Clemson last year. The guy is just not that good. He even threw one 5 yard screen pass in the dirt. When they run up against better competition Oregon St. will get the same DJ we had. Bottom line I am not impressed and I am glad we are done with him. Yes he is a "good kid" blah blah blah, but good kids don't make good QBs. I was curious if it really was coaching or just DJ that was messing up. Now it is clear that it is just him.
The wide open pass over the middle to the TE on the busted play was right on the money... then he threw a five-yard screen pass into the dirt. A couple of times he's done the statue thing and taken the sack standing still.
The announcers for this game love him and thats's fine... but then again, he's all they have to talk about. Otherwise, it's Oregon State vs. San Jose St., and no one cares.
