DJ made it personal when he transferred to FSU

DJ gained serious weight going into his sophomore starting year (2021). Overall team talent was down, and OL and WR play was marginal most of the season. The Defense showed up and played its butt off against UGA giving up 3 points in a Game 1 loss. After a 4-3 start with losses to NCSU and Pitt on the road, the team bonded together to finish 6-0 vs. ACC competition and bowl opponent Iowa St (Brock Purdy) to finish 10-3.
The 2022 team started 8-0 before being outcoached & manhandled 35-14 by Notre Dame's running game, then losing 2 of 3 to South Carolina and Tennessee to end the season with an ACC championship win over UNC in between.
So DJ led a 10-3 season and an 11-3 season (incl. Klubnik win over UNC) in two starting seasons. A drop-off with less talented teams but respectable (even in the ACC). Then DJ transferred to Oregon State to be closer to his family including younger brother at Oregon. Understandable with the heat he took from Tiger fans and losing his starting position. Oregon St went 8-5 with a strong rushing attack.
Now DJ is coming to FSU to come after his alma mater Clemson University. Of all the schools in the country, DJ is transferring back to the east coast to start for Clemson's biggest conference rival. It is not a coincidence. DJ is making a statement. And Clemson's coaches and players should come after DJ hard to address DJ's plan to seek retribution vs. his alma mater. Statement game. Looking forward to seeing how Dabo, the coaches and players respond. Go Tigers!

I would love to see one of our BIGS jump offsides on DJ's first play and go into the back field and whisper something to him.

Maybe you are correct in your assessment. The other most likely option is FSU offered the most money plus did not have a likely starter on the roster. Money + likely playing time were the keys as I have seen nothing which makes me think DJ is holding a grudge against CU

He beat them 2x as the Clemson QB (34-28 & 30-20) . It seems poetic that he's decided to seal their fate a 3rd time. Hat's off to this Tiger for that.

I absolutely expect our Defense to try and take DJ's head off on every play, that's what I'm hoping they'll do!!!

DJU is probably looking at his last year of prime time football. If he is picked up it will be as back up or development role in nfl.
He aint stupid, gotta make hay while sun is shining snd he could put most in the bank at fsu.

Show us on the doll where DJ hurt you. Geeze give it a rest with the betrayal nonsense, he’s more likely to throw a TD to our CBs than his own WR

I don't think players are that invested in where they are playing/who they are playing against anymore. It's more business decisions now that it's become professional football.

DJ earned a degree from Clemson and had plenty of nice things to say about Clemson, yet you think he harbors animosity toward Clemson, to the point that he wanted to transfer to FSU to somehow “get back” at us?
Just LOL.

The reality is he didn’t really have any other options to try and salvage a shot at the NFL. I expect this to be another failed attempt but I don’t blame him for taking the only decent opportunity he had to do so. He would not had any better talent around him than what he will have at FSU so this is the best situation for him.
Like Dabo said, he did things the right way and earned his degree, and doesn’t owe us anything.

SocMan2 is spending a lot of time thinking about nothing.
DJ is a very mediocre quarterback, and he just didn’t have many more opportunities other than FSU.
FSU found themselves in a tight spot and DJ is the best they could get.

I'm not mad but I hope we beat FSU 10,000 and DJ is sacked 50 times and throws for -100 yards.
