Tnet posting what this piece of human debris thinks is about the same as ESPN reporting what David Hood or Crump says about anything.

“Is he a doctor, we need people like this to shut up and let the doctors and experts figure this out”
Odd a certain group of people only say that when someone gives them information they don’t like.

As I have said all along, but here's the difference:

I really thought we'd be in a period of decline by now. Deaths are decreasing, but not cases. No big deal for young, healthy football players, but can still kill those who are older or have compromised immune systems. It's not the football players, it's those they may come in contact with.
I don't see any way we can have tailgaiting, a crowd in the stadium, travel, or a full schedule.
My previous best-case hope was a delayed start and a limited schedule with no bowls or playoffs.
Not sure if even that can happen now.

deaths are decreasing because New York got a handle on things. Just wait. Southern States, where we can't even get mask mandates, are gonna be a thing to behold over the next few months.

I had hoped closing things down and staying at home/social distancing would have worked. I thought it would run it’s course and summer would come and it would die out. March, April, May... come June surely we’d be back to normal. Boy, was I wrong. There is no end in sight. At this point I don’t even see us playing.

Public refusal to wear masks is the issue... in NYC the public wear masks everywhere and the numbers are declining.

if you want to be a spectator at a sporting event get used to wearing a mask now..... masks will be required, they are required in the town of Clemson and on the University. I expect there to be temperature checks at gates and required masks. If the numbers do not decline I expect on students faculty and athletes families to be allowed in the venues because then there could be social distancing.
I saw a photo of GaTech game in 1918 ... everyone in the stands had a mask.

I just wish we had the ACTUAL TRUTHFUL numbers of how many people that COVID actually has killed....without the misleading blurriness of people dying of other causes who "just happened to be asymptomatic" carriers of the virus. That's why people have a hard time believing it's as serious as it is said to be. Just go back and listen to Fauci 2 months ago.....It was no big deal, then it's a big deal, then it's no big deal again. Just like the masks....wear it....don't wear it....wear it. People who have the ability to critically think and aren't sheep to everything the news says have problems with that.

If you are interested in data instead of anecdote go find stats on total monthly deaths is 2020 vs. monthly deaths in 2019 and you will see a MASSIVE spike in the March - April time frames in states with areas of high population density. If Covid isn't killing people, something is.
Secondly, I guarantee that flu deaths are reported as such when there is comorbidity.

The only people that don't believe this is serious are those that DO believe in the Easter Bunny and DON'T believe in climate change - in other words people that have no interest in facts. What we know now is there are many many more cases and many many more deaths then we originally thought. We also now see that one-third of the deaths are in folks in their 30's or younger. Its fine to publish ideas from anyone with ears bigger than his computer but last I looked, he had no degrees in either virology or football so I have no interest in his opinion - it means nothing to anyone.

Covid deaths in the US from people in their 30’s or younger make up about 2% of the Covid deaths in the US.

Gee Paul, thanks for the heads up that the 2020 college football season may be delayed or not even played. Truly stunning revelation from a modern day Nostradamus. Is he offering any betting tips?

So basically he’s on board with declaring Alabama the best team in college football, cancel the season and hold a big Zoom meeting where the CFP hands the trophy to Saban so he can cement his legacy with another championship. His perfect solution for this hot mess. Of course these are his thoughts in private not to be shared in public until the right time.

I have been to Clemson football games for 60 years but life that revolves around any sport is a very hollow and sad life.

Why report his opinion. I don't watch it and don't care. His view on this subject is uninformed yet always opinionated. Irrelevant. Move on TNET please.

Hey Valley Boy! I live a full and happy life! But I absolutely love football in the fall and hope to hell I get to watch, hopefully in my seats in Death Valley, some much needed college football, or I guess I will feel empty and sad! And I don’t really care what you think!!! I’m with Dabo, I’m optimistic! Hopefully cooler, or smarter heads, prevail!

I do not know the plan.... but a much of male white guys will be rioting in the streets if there is no football.... State health offices will be burned, ADs will be hanged ... hopefully just in effigy....
Seriously other sports are coming back with no or limited spectators ... and so will football and basketball. Most people watch the games on TV anyway.... We who are borderline insane need spectator sports....
And any plan made now will change in August.

If the NBA and MLB can make it work

there might be a chance for football this fall. If they cannot? And what about students on campus? Athletes return under strict supervision and over 30% of the football team contracts it. What happens when 15-20 K students return? With no such supervision? In a town of 12K? The students, like the players, likely carry a low risk factor for a serious case. But folks have to work, and will be coming in to contact with them all the time

As much as it pains me I agree with the muppet. It isnt financially viable for schools to play in front of empty stadiums and in many parts of the country fans are not going to be allowed.

A delayed season or a totally cancelled season are both very real possibilities at this point. I never thought I would see anything like this in my 68 years of life but here it is....
