Friday night, stayed in ate pizza and watched The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs presents Dog Soldiers.
Saturday, up early to brew a beer, got that knocked out then went to the Drive baseball game.
Sunday, some friends were brewing and invited us over to hand out, so we did, fun was had by all. Still no word on my truck.
Monday morning, see that Father G is back! Pretty cool start to the work week.

Just me and the dog this weekend. Did a lot of chores I needed to get done, inside and out.
Watched tennis and the Tahoe golf.
8/10 (15.2 on the RH Covids scale). Deductions for heat and work.
Wood due a gin.

Thurs night - Drove family up to NC to visit with JTNY and family at the river house.
Fri - Spent most of the day in the river. Kids went tubing and I kayaked whilst casting the big bait at smallmouths. Ended up catching a 19 incher (pretty solid fish for a smallie). JTNY grilled us some chicken tiddies and we finished the night in the hot tub.
Sat - Went out to breakfast. Got back and packed up the truck to leave around 12:30. Back home and hooked up me boat for a bass tourney on Hartwell. We done pretty decent and finished 2/10 boats.
Sun - Church in the morning. Started a new role on the Security Team. I stare out the window and look for cars coming in to the parking lot and say "What are they doing here. Oh, they are coming to church."
Sent McJr off to week long camp this morning.

Kind of a blur
Friday - Cookout for vacation bible school. Help grill burgers and dogs for about 150.
Sat - Discovered that after all this rain, ants seek the high ground. Which happened to be my kitchen. Cleaned and scoured, moved the stove to clean behind that, the fridge and cleaned behind that. Then noticed in the hall next to the kitchen was a box of daughterof's stuff from school waiting to be put away. As I opened the box, I noticed an open bag of peanut M&M's filled with not just M&M's but...ants. Oh for the love of.....!
Sun - Church, tv and not much else.

physical shape after a surgery on each, that I could complete the work on my 2007 Avalanche that was started MONTHS ago. It began as a semi straight forward replacement of the front passenger side door latch. This was needed not because it would not latch, but because the electronic part which tells the computer it IS latched had got the dead. Having to ride down the road with the dome light on, and the "Door Ajar" message in the dash was aggravating, to say the least.
Things began to go awry almost immediately on this job. I have had door panels off before, to replace outside door handles, since those cheap plastic POS from GM break if you breath on them. But for some reason, this time, the door panel, especially the white sound deadener, fought me tooth and nail. Then, the outside door handle broke off inside the door, just from the weight of the now removed latch hanging on it. Then, a prong on the door panel punched a big hole in my door mounted Bose factory sound system speaker.
Both of these things were not parts I had counted on replacing at this time, so I was hot enough by now that an egg probably would have fried on my forehead. I actually already had an outside door handle, as I had ordered all four, when they started breaking awhile ago. But, I did NOT have a new speaker. It was required that I part with ~$135, and wait a few days for Amazon delivery to get one. That put me past my surgery time on the second hand, and thus, the truck sat in my shop with the door open, and the door panel propped up hanging on a chair, for about a month and a half.
But, Friday, I finally felt confident enough in my hand working again to finish this job. It was just as aggravating as it had been before, but finally, I got it all back together without destroying anything else, and it all works as new now.
Saturday, ordered Subs and Pizzas from my favorite eatery here in Orangeburg, The Original House of Pizza. Nobody beats their pizzas, and their Supersub is a bohemian delight as well. Those were enough to make SEVERAL meals, still have some of the House Special pizza left, will have made at least four meals out of that food order when all is said and done, not bad at all.

Friday, we went to the Evening Music to see Justin Clyde Williams with Tony Logue and the 184 opening. We've seen both at the Thirsty Beaver over the last few months, and both are excellent. If you get a chance to see Clyde, take my advice and GO. Wildly talented singer/songwriter/guitarist, absolutely hilarious personality, and a well-crafted show.
Saturday, we were headed out to Kannapolis to see Partial Tucker, but Doug Grey is still out on hiatus so we opted to kick that can down the road rather than drive an hour to see what amounts to a tribute band. Excellent musicians, but it fell apart late afternoon and it didn't hurt my feelings so we made homemade pizza and chilled.
Sunday, Professor Twang and the Honky Tonk Revue at the Thirsty Beaver. Very talented musicians, not so gifted vocally, but they play great stuff and have fun doing it so we had big fun too. Six-piece band with guitar, upright bass, pedal steel, drums, banjo, and accordion...maybe the biggest outfit I've ever seen crammed into the corner at the Beaver, LOL.
Lots of live music so 19/19 Covids.

Friday: daughter who works at a camp for the summer got home
Saturday: daughter who was in the UK for a week got home around 3AM. Hauled off some house stuffs, grilled chicken, baked potatoes, grilled corn and grilled some peaches my wife picked up. Also made a peach habanero salsa, that was *chefs kiss*
Sunday: took daughter back to camp for a couple of more weeks, watched Chelsea win the WCW, watched some Indy and NASCAR, son came over for a bit, relaxed with the dogs and ate leftovers.

Thanks for asking
Friday cleaned up the house in anticipation of Wife and Daughter getting back from Clemson, cut the grass, swept, vacuumed, generally got the house looking nice. They got home about 10:15 and we all were happy they were back but sleepy.
Saturday slept in, daughter had beach volleyball tourney that didn't start until 2:00. Watched her for a couple hours (but only one match because everything was moving slow) then went to the BAD Day Music Festival. Yonder Mountain String Band was first, great band, good set, small crowd. Lightning' in the area made them cut their set short and we had to evacuate the area for almost an hour. Came back for Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country and he was really really good. The post-rain humidity had to be over 100 degrees, we were sweaty, but the show must go on. Crowd was slow getting back after the storm, but decent by the time he was hitting his groove. Lastly Railroad Earth came out. They are the only one of those bands I haven't seen. They are the headliners, but alot of people started to bail (Lettuce was playing down the street later, needed a separate ticket). Smaller crowd, but they played alot of great tunes and sounded fantastic. Home to see the dogs learned to open the pantry (new thing) and ate chips and granola bars then sh>it in the floor (new thing for them). So I swept, mopped, and vacuumed the floors again. Wife got home from volleyball JUST as I was finishing cleaning.
Sunday slept in, took daughter to volleyball practice, I tried out our old digital camera to see if we could get good action shots, and sweat my butt off. Home to see wife has decided to deep clean every rug in our house, so spent the next few hours sweeping, vacuuming, and moving rugs and furniture for her. I politely reminded her that she is using my only couple days off to repeatedly clean the house when she has the summer off and spent all of last week living in a hotel room in Clemson while I was watching the boys and working from home. That did not go over very well. So I just kept cleaning. Watched about an hour of Thunderbolts and then fell asleep.
Good music but when you clean the house on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, it puts a damper on the weekend.

Farm on Friday afternoon w the fam, threw a frog around some lily pads then dinner in Camden. Salud may be the best Mexican restaurant in the state, I’ll stand on that. Drove to dirty Myrtle on Sat to meet new nephew, then turned right around and straight back to the midlands. Low key Sunday, did my grocery shopping for the week and dicked around the house a little. Chelsea won the club world cup yesterday, assblasted PSG the alleged “best team in the world” by 3 goals to nil, up the Chels.

Thursday: Drove to Lexington, KY, on the way I swung over to Tennessee and played Harmon Hills disc golf course, #1 course in Tennessee and #36 in the world, amazing and awesome course. Stopped at my first Buc-ee's too, that place is nuts.
Friday: First round of golf trip, shot a meh 77. Then went to the Four Roses Distillery and did their tour and tasting, bought a bottle of single barrel select.
Saturday: Second round of golf trip, shot a 73. Then hung out and smoked cigars and drank bourbon by the pool of the hotel.
Sunday: Final round of golf trip, shot a 74 on a very easy course that should've been better but had fun. Then drove the long ### drive home.

Friday - got in 36 of Golden Tee. Shot 18 and 19 under. I'm on a roll. Finished binging 1923 because I learned I have a Paramount account I did not know about
Sat - other MSynan managed to scrape her back quarter panel backing out of the garage, so now we are a two car fam again. Borrowed daughter's car to go buy her a birthday present. Did well there I hope. We'll see Thursday.
My boys came over for pre-fantasy football season party. Divisions and draft order were randomly selected. I pick 7th. Much drinking was done and fun was had. My buddy stuck around late night to talk politics. He's a full on socialist. You should have seen the look of disappointment on his face when I told him that I believed health care was a moral imperative, not a human right. I love talking politics in person with nice people and always willing to find areas of agreement. Pho for dinner
Sunday - visited buddy in hospital with kidney failure. He wants a Clemson t-shirt out of the respect and love I have for my alma mater. It has rubbed off on him. Watched some sports and made fried chicken. Life is short y'all take advantage of what you have
17/19 COVIDS. -1 for no live music, and -1 for hospitalized friend

Friday: met my friends for an early dinner and then we all went to watch midget wrestling. It was even more incredible than I could have imagined. I bought a mask and yelled unimaginable insults at little people. I was honestly just trying to fit in and keep up with the people around me. I even bought a shirt that said I Love Midgets. Stopped at a bar on the way home and eliminated any ounce of sobriety remaining in my soul.
Saturday: almost overslept and missed my pre-golf round breakfast and mimosas. Fortunately, I made up time by skipping coffee and most of my normal shower routine. Got in the perfect zone with three mimosas and played well until about the 14th hole. Heat index of 101 and extreme headache from hangover is a bad combo. Rallied at lunch and went back out for an E9. Lost the first two holes but rallied to win the next two. My teammate has a top 30 finish in a US Open so he did most of the heavy lifting. We tied the last five holes so no money was exchanged. Got home 7 minutes before I was supposed to meet friends for dinner.
Sunday: washed a car, laid by a pool to work on my pre-vacation tan, did laundry, watched golf on TV. Pretty boring day but I needed a break.

we've talked about it for years - finally worked this year
it's so cool to see those guys up close. and for the team presentation, they were super close and riding very slowly
until you see the staging area for the teams and the finish line area, it's really hard to fathom the amount of production that goes into every stage - the vehicles, the trucks, trailers, etc...
