It's the coaching mentality that gets me upset with Clemson football, they will take a lead and try to hold on for dear life, or they will play down to the opponents level of competition and hope to hang on for a win, or they will play not to lose instead of playing to win, which is basically they should just keep their foot on the gas pedal, and don't take their foot off the gas pedal until its over ... it's all a in game philosophy , that I wish would change, but I'm not the coach I'm just a fan....

Dabo is a conservative coach

and I wouldn't expect that philosophy to change 17 years into his head coaching career.

Don't forget getting a big lead on SMU too in the ACCCG then holding on for dear life to kick a FG and win it after the game was tied up.

Dabo's Waffle House menu looking play calling sheet isn't going anywhere. Wasn't Drew Swinney spotted on the sidelines last year with headsets on? Maybe he is the OC in training if Riley leaves.

i want to see hunger and aggression out of the future HCs (if any exist in the staff anymore)

my opinion is
that there is a heavy honeymoon , early fatherhood complex amongst the staff . a lot of happy to be here and not enough this thing is over if we don't produce this moment and this second

a lot of life after football emphasis everywhere 😔

Go Tigers!

Yes, putrid. As for yesterday, I saw things a bit differently than most. I lost count at 5 QB's so Cade played long enough to throw a pick. All the starting WR's were in no contact jerseys. If you played them a decent amount of snaps, and actually had to tackle them to end the play, then I think both the yards and scoring would have been through the roof. Same goes for the down by touch on the QB's - it gave the defense a break. And the defense needed a break. They pulled Brown, Woodaz (W), Woods, and Parker after a handful of snaps and they never saw the field again except Woods on FGs's and extra Pts. Back up O lineman were blasting big holes in the defense and all the QB's had ample time to throw to mostly back ups and walk ons. At DT we have Woods and Cape. It drops off fast after that. Counting on Heldt as the other D end and Mayo showed some potential to be a quality back up. I'm hoping we don't get pushed around like last year but a couple injuries and it could come unraveled real fast on defense from where I sat. Of course we need safeties and LB's. Alexander played most of the game and made some tackles. Big body which is needed but really didn't see him flash any foot speed. Too early to say for sure but lot's of question marks on defense. I see improved O line play, more O line depth, and more skill position talent than we have had since the mid point of Trevor's tenure. Been a long time, maybe a decade, since I have had a positive word to say about the O line but you watch Braydon Jacobs for 2 quarters and feel like the boat is turning. Won't take long to see where we stand.
