DJ was still our QB. Give him a new OC and QB coach, and a couple decent WRs and his numbers would’ve been pretty good this year. Wouldn’t have had the crazy turnovers either.
Imagine if he had Tyler Brown and Troy Stellato to throw to and was operating in a decent offense instead of that disaster he had to play in the last two years.

LMAO, have you watched all the Beavers games this year? DJU is still DJU. He has a much better OL and hands the ball off real well, but the passes are still inconsistent.

I still have my doubts about DJ.....I honestly can't see him being the mobile QB escaping pressure and making clutch throws on the run like Cade can.

the proper answer is that we had to beat Syracuse this year to be 5-0.
While last year, DJU didn't beat Syracuse. We may have been 8-0 at one time, bt we weren't 8-0 without Cade at Qb to come back against the Cuse. DJU wasn't 8-0.
And likely wouldn't have been 5-0 this year either. Not the way he's playing; which is good but not great.

He is the catalyst that wrecked the ship. His emotional state would have never been recovered here without playing through a couple of completely wrecked seasons. He is where he needs to be. Hopefully he has a great season. If he does it will be because he moved on.
Opinion (worth almost 2 cents with Biden inflation): Cade on the sidelines was haunting him because he knew Cade was the rightful heir to the throne.

DJ threw his share of pick 6's as well. I recall UGA's only TD 2 years ago happen to be a pick6. If I recall correctly it was on a shuffle pass. How do you throw the ball 2 yards and to the opposing player? then we go for it on 4th down multiple times inside their 20.

nowhere? He had 2 years and never looked like he knew what he was doing. The only plays i wish we still had DJ are the short yardage dive plays. Now those he was elite at b/c no one was going to push him backward. But the rest were dreadful and never improved.
Now he's in a more suitable pro style offense and he's still got similar numbers as what he did here. He's throwing at around 185-200 yards a game and 1 TD a game. He's Logan Thomas 2.0. Got all the physical abilities but just quite get over that hump for some reason.

Even the announcers for the OSU/Utah game said, 'don't want to make a judgement, but DJU is just not exceptional...he's a 'good QB' but that's it'
Truth be told, he has SLOW EYES (is how the NFL evaluated EJ Manuel) and you can't correct that, he's just not a good QB. And you can't compare where we are and the schedule we've played thus year to last, that's just silly and ignorant.
Simple fact, Cade is coming along, sheeeeit he's only started what 6 games so far?! And it's clear the kid will be special, just needs a bit of time...DJU had more than enough time and could never get above average, because, that's just what he is: average to below average QB.
