the Tigers yesterday, but why was Christian Groomes, a redshirt freshman walk on place kicker, in as an eligible receiver?

Christian and his family have been friends for years, so my mouth hit the ground when the PA announcer called his name yesterday. He quickly corrected himself though as we have two number 39s on the roster and he meant to call Jordan Bianchi's name. I am sure his folks were just as surprised!
