Does anyone else think we could lose Sat?

This game worries me a lot. The media has been singing our praises and they just lost to an FCS team. They have nothing to lose and we have everything to lose.
Please tell me I'm crazy but this game scares me ALOT.

Sure we could lose. Go down there overlooking them, turn it over 6 times like we did a couple of years ago. If we jump in them quick I think they quit. That what I hope to see.

This is typical fan stuff. Of course we CAN lose,

but an SEC team losing at home to a FCS team is not a sign of a team that's going to turn around in a week and "play for pride."
Anything can happen, because it's college football. I'm confident that our excellent coaching staff will put a strong game plan together and have the team mentally focused, and I'm confident the players have the internal leadership and talent to continue to perform at a very, very high level. Hopefully that's all true and we leave Columbia with a win.

Well said! Clemson should not lose this game based upon all the factors involved, but it does not mean we can't lose if everything were to go against us over the course of the game.
The team and staff need to focus and come prepared to play a solid all around game in order to win.
Go Tigers!

We could lose, VERY unlikely. But the game doesn't scare me

our athletes are just better. Even if we come out flat (not going to happen), we are just better. We would have to totally shiite the bed, and even then, I don't think we lose. I've been watching these games for a lonnnng time, and I'm the first to get nervous, but I am very confident.
I think we could start KB and run the wildcat all day and beat them like a last place pony.

I would be worried but they are truly a dumpster fire this year

Players refusing to play, the coaches know they are all getting pink slips post-haste, fans have completely given up, etc. I'd be very worried if they had won a couple of games and rallied behind Elliot, but that just hasn't been the case. I just don't foresee a "go out there and win it for the interim" kind of situation like we had when Dabo beat Spurrier that first time.

I thought the Gamecocks had a better chance at an upset until Saturday. Losing to the Citadel just might make them give up on winning the Clemson game.

Seems to me any human Clemson fan would be at least
Nov 23, 2015, 11:04 AM
|

a little nervous about it. Not really because there's much of a chance of losing, but what it would mean if they did.
Even a 0.1% chance of the worst loss in program history would be enough to make me a little nervous.
That said, from an objective perspective is a non-Clemson fan, there is basically no chance that they lose. After watching the Citadel win the line of scrimmage by a landslide, Clemson would have to have some epic-bad 7-turnover game or something. It's not happening.

of losing this game. It would be utterly unbearable. Objectively, I just don't see it happening though.

Can we loose absolutely. Will we loose probably not. We would have to really overlook them to loose. Point is Clemson is better at every single position then the coots are. Clemson should win big I say 38-17. Could be more but dabo wont run up the score.

If we let that little ORT throw bombs to fay-roe all day ,. Or let that little IMP run on third and 20 ,. Or let ole man wilds set a rushing record by not tackling or by OVER PERSUIT .,
BUT no if they chase that little ORP or no nutz and drive them into the ground we will get Picks and fumbles .,
I just hope DW can start hot for a change and it carries through until about 10 different Tigers have catches and 4 or 5 backs have gashed the hands off of the coots that have not left .,

It's possible, like if you veer off to stay on 26 instead of taking 126, but even then you could just turn off on Bluff road a couple miles later. Even if there was confusion in town, it's pretty well marked, but yeah, if it's raining, traffic, could get lost a little bit, but I doubt it.
Oh, you said "lose"! Um, no. Someone might lose some headphones in the locker room, but that's about it.

I'm worried also. I'm worried that they will purposely injure DW. I'm worried that they have nothing to lose and will play like thugs. I'm worried that our coaches will not be worried enough. I'm worried that our players will be looking ahead to Charlotte.
But I was also worried about WF, Syracuse, FSU, NCSt, Miami, BC, GT, ND, UL, App St, and Wofford. I tend to worry about everything cause ... girl.

It's football. Any team can lose on a given day. But if Clemson plays well this game will get ugly.

The only way we lose is if we beat ourselves...

That team is incapable of beating us on their own. The coots would need a lot of help by us. If we take care of the football, minimize mistakes, and stay aggressive early, then we win handily.

I feel pretty good about Saturday, but I'm not doing a lot of ship talking, either. Lot of factors on this one.

There are a few things that worry me about Saturday....
Nov 23, 2015, 11:57 AM
|
|
A list of things that worry me about Saturday:
1. Eating too much Thanksgiving leftovers.
2. The Coots trying to hurt our players because they have nothing to lose.
3. The Coots trying to re-enact the 2004 brawl that cost Clemson a bowl berth.
4. Brent Venables defensively dominating the Coots so badly that Alabama or Texas offers him a head coaching position.
5. Gambling on a fart and losing.
My friend and fellow Tiger there are many things I am worried about for this Saturday... Losing to the South Carolina Gamecocks ain't one of them.
