Comments from a few coots

Nov 26, 2018, 2:05 PM

A few coots told me Muschamp now has an offense, and as soon as he gets the defensive straightened out they will be hard to deal with. They also added that Muschamp is the right coach for them and they believe in him more than ever.

I told one of them that Muschamp really should hire a coach who is well regarded as a good DC and give that coach 3 years to recruit his own players on the defensive side of the ball and I’ll bet that will help turn things around on defense.

They are not as good as they think they are as usual. They lose half their starters and played way over their heads and will never play that well again. Their schedule is brutal next year. They actually have to play somebody.

Yeah no doubt. They only lost by 5 to us a few years ago and went down 56-7 the following year.

They lose the 2 best WRs, Samuel (Sr) and Edwards (Jr leaving early), Both starting OTs, the left OG, Starting and backup TEs, and all of the defensive backfield. Good thing they sub liberally..... Doh!

I don't think Edwards is good enough to go Pro early-- would

Nov 26, 2018, 3:07 PM

be a mistake for him I think. He may be the 3rd best receiver talent wise on their team. Walter football doesn't even list him top 20 in wr that would be eligible this year. He has the body so another year could improve his stock.

We will see. I heard an interview with him and it certainly sounded like he was leaning heavily to going pro.

2 weeks ago they wanted to fire their OC. Now it's their DC

Do those same Coots realize...

Nov 26, 2018, 2:31 PM

that they lose 5 players on offense and 6 players on defense from this years team and that they'll be lucky to win six games next year.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

They will lose 6 on offense. Edwards is likely going Pro early, unless he receives a bad draft grade.

A couple of weeks ago when I went to the coot board for some early morning chuckles, there were quite a few posters who admitted that they would give anything to have Dabo or any of his assistants as opposed to the HC they have now. (You remember Dabo...that dirty dog that won't take a knee so his boy can have a TD.) How things change.

They'll lose 8 from his offense this year. lol***

1) to depend on something that is useless

That about sums it up.

Re: Comments from a few coots

Nov 26, 2018, 3:23 PM

remember....half their defense was out due to the weak in weak out grind of the SEC schedule....otherwise, they would have won the game. So for them to say Muschamp just now needs to figure out the D, that makes me confused now....since they already had a D good enough to beat us except for injuries.

These gamecocks couldn't be right twice a day even as a broken clock....

Same fans say he didn’t win morecat Florida because of injuries. Either he’s the most unlucky coach out there, or something is off with the way he manages things.

Dak Joyner will be a solid 3rd string DB for them***
