Here's my issue with the SECSPN spin machine

When a team is good, let's say a team like Clemson for an unbiased view , they still manage to suckle the SEC teet by saying that the team is "built like a SEC team." If that's not a slap in the face to the team and that team's conference, I don't know what is.
I get it. The SEC does have the cream of the crop. There's no denying that the top 3 teams in the SEC would also be at the top of the other conferences. There's no denying that they've taken home the crystal ball the last 7 years. It's been a great run. That doesn't mean that all other conferences don't have great teams that deserve coverage as well.
Last year we, and Louisville, proved that teams from other conferences can beat a top SEC team. The SEC has bottom feeders just like any other conference, but to equate a season in the SEC to "running the gauntlet" would make it sound like the teams in the SEC are world beaters top to bottom.
As a Disney stockholder I'm conflicted, but it's to the point now where I can't even watch their coverage. I hope Fox Sports will see the unrest that's brewing across the nation and capitalize on their opportunity to grab the eye of the college football fan that's tired of the SEC lovefest. Competition will breed change and we can get back to fair and even coverage of the sport we all love.
PS: Go Tigers!

I only watch games there. Any highlight package can be found elsewhere - Fox, NBC Sports networks. Let them choke on their Golden Calf called the SEC.

However beat TAM. I think at worst, they were 4th best team. I would put Bama, UF (since they lost to them) and maybe UGA better than them. Judging by how they both lost to Bama though, I think they are about the same as UGA.

23, I think you got GA Losing to LSU mixed up with them losing to SC. Ga. did not play LSU. I also got mixed up in stating that LSU finished 5th. According to the final polls, LSU finished 6th. I stand corrected!

Show me where they finished fourth? They finished 6th with a 10-3 record. SC finished 4th with an 11-2 record. That is how it has it on the SEC site! They were tied in conference play at 6 an 2. the tie breaker is the BCS finish. Now who is the DA?

Tie breaker is head to head moron. I'll explain it in simple terms so your little pea brain can understand. If two teams have the same record in conference the tie breaker is head to head. So had Georgia lost another game and been 6-2 that would mean your coots would have gone to the SEC championship game.

Hey NUM.N show me 1 site that says LSU finished 5th or above. I have already wasted my time showing you two that shows them at #6. The SEC only recognizes 1st thru 6th East and 1st through 6th west. They do not combine east and west rankings without using final rankings. Either way, congratulations on beating the #5 or #6 team. Wherever SC ended up being ranked in your head, You lost to them!

SEC it was Ohio State & Southern Cal or the Big 10 in general. They always seem to pick a conference or school and cover them so much that the rest of the country gets sick of hearing about how great they are and how all other schools have no business playing football.

Very true. It was the Big 10 for a while. The year that Urban won his first title at UF all the talk throughout that season was OSU and UM. Before their gane that year ESPN was actually saying it might be the two best college teams ever. Once OSU won you had the first real talk of a rematch in the MNC. Then UF got some in and drug the buckeyes. That was when the switch occurred. They started saying look how good those teams look playing an SEC school. Its been all SEC ever since. Of course the MNC streak helps but its more than that. Its the money. If somehow a 1 loss SEC team gets left out for two undefeateds ESPN will treat it as if there is an asterick by the championship for not beating an SEC team. The SEC is their cas cow and they treat it as such. Will not change until other conferences start winning the MNC. Especislllally if they do it in the upcoming playoffs.

latch onto any phrase they like, including this "...built like a SEC team" malarkey. Others like Michigan, Southern Cal, Penn State, Ohio State and their ilk may beg to differ.
No one doubts the prowess of certain members of the SEC; everyone outside the SEC doubts the superiority of ALL the SEC members. The same latter crowd, also, scoffs at the SEC homerism by the SEC "also rans."
Regardless, I'm only concerned with Clemson, and I don't view our games against the likes of Georgia or SC as being against the SEC. I see them as match-ups against top-quality and highly-rated opponents...games we need to win. Therefore, I say bring 'em all on...I want to see us go after the likes of Bama, Michigan, So Cal, Notre Dame et al.

Same can be said about top teams in other divisions in other conferences. That's my point. ESPN acts like the only way a team can be good is if they're in the SEC.
BTW, your inclusion of A&M proves my point. How was A&M in the Big12 before they moved to the SEC? They were 7-6 in 2011. All of a sudden because they're in the SEC they're world beaters? If you believe what ESPN has to say the players on A&M gained 50 lbs of muscle and cut half a second off of their 40 times the morning they joined the SEC.
I get it. I understand that team can go 7-6 one year (like we did the very same year) and get it turned around the next year. ESPN just acts like TAMU is now this beast because they beat Bama and are members of the SEC.
