Cade just has the "IT" that DJ seems to be missing during game time. Klubnik might not be able to chuck a ball 80 yards, but at least he'll be able to consistently hit a WR ten yards downfield with a catchable pass...

DJ had that same factor in high school. His high school was dominating just like Klubnik's. They are also playing very weak competition in this game against PSJA. Believe me on that, the difference between the upper parts of Texas and that lower section is like day and night. PSJA is like a New Mexico school in football. Deep south Texas and far western portions like El Paso and then the Panhandle are worthless.

get a grasp on our four successful plays, and get our offense back on track.
For the first time in years, we SHOULD have a quarterback battle in the spring, and from it, a more than competent triggerman going into the season.
Now, that could be Cade, or if by some miracle the malady that has afflicted DJ this season lifts, it could still be him. Either way, it MUST be better than what we have seen this year.

be great! Even better if Taisun is in the mix.
I truly believe the WRs Corp will be markedly improved next year as will the TE group. The cost of the devastation to our passing game due to injuries has been greatly under-appreciated.
The RBs are also all a virtually untapped resource in the passing game too. They can all catch. They just need experience and better focus. Gaining confidence in catching the ball made Etienne a much better overall player and really helped Trevor Lawrence as a passer.
Finally, with the entire starting OL from the past two games returning along with 4-5 guys who watched and learned this year, we could see a resurgence of Tony Elliott as a great OC in 2022 ...

I wish the best for Taisun, but nothing I have seen leads me to believe that he can be a serviceable division 1 QB. I wonder why it is so easy for Wake/BC/Virginia/Pitt to find good, serviceable QBs, when could probably sign any of them and pass them over. This post was NOT directed at DJ. I just wonder what TE and Streeter are looking at.

a sound judgement on him.
Until a guy gets first team snaps all week and then starts a game, it’s hard to say how he might perform.
Practices are limited, so there is not a lot of time to let Taisun get acclimated to running the team with the one’s because honestly, DJ needed every snap he could get.
I think Taisun is probably a great guy to have as a back-up behind DJ and Cade.
Is he willing to stay around for that? Who knows. In the current climate, probably not.

All In, and I believe that all of our recruits can see that their help is needed to help get us back into the playoffs, and that not a single one of them are giving their commitment to our Tigers a second thought. All of them want to be a part of a winning program, and they all know that their talent is needed to help Clemson to remain a winning FB program, it all happens bc of good recruiting, and this years class is loaded with championship type players, Go Tigers!!!!

DJ is a great kid and never quit, but eventually we gotta realize he is who he is and has reached his ceiling. Against lesser opposition, he will probably look pretty good, but I don’t think he will get much better than what we have seen so far. He has some tools but looks like he can’t bring it together....if he does it looks like he may do it as a 5th year senior or such. I expect Klubnik to challenge and take it next year.

If this happens, we have to be prepared for a DJ transfer. We need an upperclass QB from the portal that can compete and another recruit. We lost 1 with Chandler this year.

I love Klubnik and he should be a star, but take little from this game against Pharr San Juan Alamo (PSJA). They are pathetically awful. All of the schools in that area of Texas are untalented and just terrible especially at the 6A level.
He might as well been playing against his own school's freshman team or even middle school. They are that bad.

Not saying he will this year, but they did win the state title last season. And that was against a team led by Quinn Ewers. Remember him? The guy who left HS early to go to Ohio State? I wonder if he is rethinking that decision right now tbh.
