Who would you hire? Who would you think would bring Clemson basketball to heights that almost every coach at Clemson has never been? Not being an arsse or anything, just trying to find out from you guys what your personal opinion is on who you think would come to CU and who you think “The Guy” is.

Wasn't there rumors of Wade basically using us as a bargaining chip last year? I seem to remember a lot of smoke surrounding negotiations with him last year.

I hope this team gets to the tourney and makes some noise and Brownell creates some upward momentum.
But, if that doesn't happen and we start to look elsewhere we do so knowing he had his chance here. We try something new and let the chips fall as they may. That wouldn't be running off someone who was successful here, it would simply be noting that Brownell, for as much as he may be a great guy and great coach, couldn't get it done here. Try something new.

Nice facilities, good football program to feed off of. If VT can get Buzz Williams, we can get someone decent. Idk who, but whoever we hire needs to make the tourney once every 4 years.

the state, Columbia. I didn't realize it was a graveyard for once great coaches. I didn't realize that we were the whipping boy in the state rivalry. I didn't realize we have to cheat to win.
Clemson is a beautiful place to live and recruit to, and we have top notch facilities now. Just because we haven't made a Final Four doesn't mean we have a terrible history. Purnell proved we can be a perennial tournament team.

I dont think you know what the word "truth" means. Stop spouting off opinions that you are calling "truth".
If it were up to you we would still have Tommy Bowden as a Football Coach and Shyatt as a bball coach.

Not happening! He is set for life where he is! No football competition. He is “big dog” on campus.
Perhaps look at Winthrop’s coach to start, but any number of solid mid-majors would jump at the opportunity at Clemson.

For those of you who make the statement “I like Brownell” what exactly do you like about him? Not saying he’s a bad guy but I don’t know him personally and neither do any of you.
Is it simply because he’s white, middle aged, and a bit overweight like a lot of you are?

I like that he is recruiting better. He seems like he carries himself like a class act. I like that Dabo likes him and speaks so highly of him. That's about it. But yeah, without knowing him, I like him. I think the program is in a position to improve a lot over the next five years. That would great to see him rewarded after all of this time by being pat of it. I was anti CBB 2 years ago. I like the direction everything is going at the moment though and I am supporting him at the moment.

healthy. It also seems like we are recruiting better. Hopefully he can land some stud PG to guarantee a quality PG for the year after next. I was also about firing him for years, because he couldn't get 5-7 guys that could play together. It seems like he is on the right track now. I would have fired him years ago, but now he is seemingly turning the corner.

Look, I hope you're right for the benefit of Clemson basketball. I care about Clemson basketball, not about Brad Brownell. He is paid a lot of money to win basketball games and he's not won enough. Maybe this year we will make the tournament and do Clemson basketball proud, but I'm not holding my breath

as a favor because he is a good guy. I care about Clemson basketball. I see the improvement in play, talent, recruiting, and facilities. I used trash him all of the time. We have been a mess in his tenure. I like the direction things are going now though. It will be interesting to see what we are like over the next 2 years.

Better than Brownell. Maybe so. He's having a great year. Hopefully he has turned this program around. I kind of agree we should keep him around. Now if we go 4-27 next year or something I will not advocate keeping him. But for now let's see what happens.

Some of you guys are like coot fans who thought their program was elite because of conference affiliation so Tom Herman would be dying to coach their average program. Perhaps if we fired Venables and added his salary to CBB’s salary we could get a top coach. Short of that we are better off sticking with CBB

If we miss the Dance this year, I think it is time to move on. We've been more than fair to BB and if we were a serious basketball school (and I don't care that we're not), he would already be gone.
