Yeah but if Dabo doesn't back CJ on this then he undercuts all of CJ's authority. CJ making it an issue puts the higher ups into a corner.
I don't think we'll ever know exactly what went down. The most telling thing will be whether CJ is still the RB coach in two seasons.

People think he is only 2nd all time on YPC by running against teams in garbage time...Wrong. He was essentially a backup to Etienne to give Etienne a break. He had very meaningful snaps in pretty much every game and every time he came in for Etienne you noticed almost no drop off. His numbers were down last season but so were Etienne's because of the garbage o-line play. I do not recall any real playing time for Dixon in the 4th quarter because those snaps went to the Freshman and Rencher.
This is a huge blow to RB depth this season... we will have to see if it snowballs or if this was just a 1 off situation with a disagreement between a new coach with no experience and a seasoned veteran player.

Well I’m not surprised that things didn’t work out, his father wasn’t a teammate of Dabo’s at Bama, and he’s not related to Gene Stallings or any other coaches or sports broadcasters.

Dang. I'm shifting from "Elliot needs to move on after the season" to "time to clear house on the offensive staff." I can't see us salvaging the offense this year but what happens with the coaching staff after this season will say a lot.
