Dju was Clemsons biggest rival last year. In a humorous aspect. Nothing gained by winning. In fact winning against his team would not carry bragging rights. More would tune in thinking dju just magically got better and our staff was his issue, only to find out he us playing in a league with woefully subpar defenses and the game would be trash.
The TN rematch gives so much allure and a statement game for which program is really coming into the next season ready to be part of the 12 team playoff. If course Clemson. Duh.

I live two blocks from Petco Park in SD.... really hoping for a Tigers trip out here, but I know that is selfish and not in the best interests of Clemson fans....
That being said, as awful as it is in CA, a weekend in San Diego is awesome. Best weather there is... 75 and sunny everyday. Best zoo in the world at Balboa Park.
If the Tigers make it to the Holiday Bowl, I've already reserved a tee time on Torrey Pines South Course at 0700. Finish the round up in time to get to Petco Park about the time the team arrives. Easiest bowl ever to get good, cheap seats (the seating layout isn't the best in a baseball stadium) and watch a great game.
If the Tigers end up coming out this way, I'd be happy to give anyone recommendations. There are awesome boat cruises to tour Coronado Bay and there is a huge Naval base here with about 1/2 of the Navy's fleet based out of SD. And then Coronado has amazing beaches and another Naval base home of Navy aviation. There's a really cool bar called the "I Bar" which is featured on Maverick: Top Gun that you have to check out. Its on base so I'd be happy to organize base access for a group of Tiger fans that make the trip out here (I'm active duty Navy).
If you want to get the best hotel, stay at the Hotel Del Coronado and you might even get a chance to see Navy Seal candidates running up and down the beach carrying Zodiacs (rubber boats) over their head. My favorite spot to hang out is on Coronado.

Been there once and had a great time. Probably about 1997, so it’s been a very long time. Attended a 3 day business meeting at the Hotel Del Coronado and stayed there. Went to La Jolla one night and had a great dinner with a fantastic view. I’d consider making that trip again for a bowl game. Any spots open in that Torrey Pines group?

It will be extremely odd in my house if we play the beavers. My wife is an Oregon State alum and she has already said that if this happens in the bowl game we are going. We have been back in SC for over 10 years. I lived out there from 2010-2013. I went to quite a few Beaver games and they are like a mini Clemson in terms of campus, size of the town, major Ag school, rival is right down the interstate vs another poultry product (ducks) business school.
I always pull for the Beavers when I’m not watching Clemson so i might have to sleep on the couch for a while if we drag them up and down the field for 4 qtrs.

So….. you got DJ twice! He’s a great young man and he will do something great in the future. Love him and his humility.
I hope he finally puts it all together and he becomes a great NFL QB. Dabo has said he believes he will play on Sunday’s.
So we shall see if he does, I wish him the best. He can make any throw, just needs to get his head clear.

Clemson may end up playing Oregon State in a bowl this year but, DJ will not be under center. There is no way Big Dave is going to let him face the Tiger Defense. He will opt out.

Make no mistake the media already has stuff pre- written and ready to go if DJ beats Dabs and Clemson. Kind of like when they already have press releases and obituary packages ready to go and filed away for VIP's and celebs in the event they pass away so they can release them quickly.

I got a LSU fan friend who could use some humbling.
He also likes the Dallas Cowboys so hopefully late December/early January will be awful for him.
