I think XT thinks he can be a first rounder and he definitely has the skill set to do so. If he came out this year he likely goes in the 4th.
Hopefully he builds off the progress of last season.

Not trying to be a pumper here ... but does anyone have a belief that another college FB defensive line will be as good as ours next year? (Even more awesome of T.Davis truly comes back for 2022)
UGA: is losing several stud underclass D-Linemen (draft) and 'graduated' some Sr. D-linemen.
Bama: Their D-Line was really good last year, but not up their usual awesomeness. Anyone think that Bama's D-line will be the equal to ours next year?
aTm: Great incoming D-Line class, and very good veterans, but does anyone think they'll have the right mix of talent + experience to equal Clemson's D-Line in 2022?
Utah: They always seem to be rough and tough on D-Line, but I don't keep up with their personnel.
OH State: Their D-Line looked bad in their (few) big games; can't imagine that they'll get the genie out of the lamp for next year.
S.Carolina / NC State ... scared, real scared of them. Must be true since their fans think so.
(???) Any thoughts on which other team(s) D-Line might be better than ours in 2022?

Do underestimate jawjaw they have recruited extremely well on the dline. Yes they are losing a lot but still have studs there and more studs coming in. Do agree tho our experience on the line will make ours one of the best if not the best next year.

No argument that UGA is recruiting at an incredibly high level everywhere ... including (maybe especially) D-Line. Clemson's advantage, IMO, is big-time experience to amplify the quality that we have for 2022.
Hope I'm right here, but experience helps to prevent things like off-sides penalties (which can be big for 3rd down stops), or for the D-Ends playing their lanes instead of going for the monster sack every play and leaving holes for the RBs or RPO QB runs to exploit. I am confident that Clemson's D-Line experience, along with great coaching at the position-coach level (N.Eason and L.Hall) will maximize Clemson's D-Line play next year.
Truly (no pumping here), I think our D-Line will be better than UGA's, Bama's, & aTm's. Don't know enough about Utah to make that call, but just guessing here. From the outside looking in, I think that our DL for 2022 will be better than anyone's in the B1G and will probably be better than Baylor's.
Looking for any disagreement (it won't be disrespectful to Clemson's D-Line if there are other D-Lines for 2022 that you think will be comparable to ours).

Awesome news. I hope we see more of the explosive XT that puts QBs to the ground (not just pocket pressures). That’s what he needs for an improved draft status next year.
With the 2 deep roster we have coming back, there probably is a downside. It will be interesting to see if we lose someone like Williams and/or Mascoll to the portal. 2023 will be a brand new starting lineup with Bresee and Murphy likely declaring for the draft. Can’t afford to have any younger backups leave the program because of lack of playing time.
