outside of the Duke blowout....
Close loss vs Fl State
Double OT loss vs Miami
Both games were completely winnable games.
To say we cant win out is a bogus statement.
I think this team has shown it can beat anyone...but it can also lose to anyone.
Only time will tell but I am not counting us out from winning any game left on the schedule.

downward trend for the last 5 years............slow at first 2019-2020......then picked up steam tumbling down the mountain........2021-present.
gotta look BIG PICTURE.
Dabo's refusal to adapt his philosophies, hires, roster management, etc... to the "NEW ERA" of college football is the reason we are where we are.

im not suggesting anything about the big picture...i think its quite obvious whats happening with the program...Im just stating that counting any games left on the schedule as an automatic loss is bogus, because all remaining games are just as much winnable as they are losable

just don't let a "theoretical" win-out blind/distract from the REAL issues plaguing the program................those problems will still exist whether we win the remaining or lose the remaining, until Dabo sets his ego/pride aside and make the proper fixes to the program.

there's a real possibility of a win-out and also a real possibility of a lose-out. Im just pointing out that many are calling losses that havent happened and though we have some REAL issues...this team isn't a terrible team. Just an ugly one from an execution standpoint.

With the line play on both sides of the ball against Miami, I would say that notre dame is a definite loss (as definite as it can be before it’s played). Outside of that I would agree that the rest are definitely a toss up.

Averaging 3 turnovers a game is a recipe for disaster. Couple that in with the multiple three and outs, and that’s limited scoring opportunities.
Now if we cut out the turnovers and the three and outs, I predict we will win out. But we need to prove it this week against NC State. The players on the offensive side of the ball need a serious wake up call.

My 40+ years of watching Clemson Football have told me that once a team starts exhibiting these Jekyll/Hyde traits, they show back up in a future loss. But we will see.
Also I full expect for Dabo to become the all time winningest head coach in Clemson Football history this coming weekend. He’s got a lot to fix to bring this staff and team back to National Championship status. But he’s earned that right in my book.

A) I'm not sure why we would need to isolate Duke out of the analysis (other than to skew the analysis positively)- it is very relevant data.
B) Trajectory matters - not just a bunch of games in isolation. The trajectory is bad, and the improvement across the course of the season is minimal and not steady. The turnovers and and OL and WR problems and other bad play is still with us, and ND and NC are better than most teams we've played thus far.
C) To say that games that were lost were winnable is to admit that if they were won they would have been easily "lose-able," (Like you said, we could lose to anyone). Teams that are constantly cutting it close to the edge, **and** that have a bad trajectory, are a horrible bet to win out. Could they win out in theory? Sure, in theory, but that's, well, just theoretical. In all likelihood, Clemson won't win out.
The problems are piling up for SC but I haven't seen any reason from us to expect that we'll necessarily beat them either. My expectation is a loss to UNC and ND, wins vs. GT and NCS, and SC a toss-up.

Not sure why GT is a lock since they beat Miami and beat Wake worse than we did. Both away games. Did anyone else watch the last 3 1/2 quarters cringing that on every tackle you’re hoping we don’t fumble?
