A while back I purchased a set of Callaway Elyte's. Due to being tall, I had to get them +1, which was good call.

I have been trying some drivers, and I am not certain that I need the +1 on the driver, however, I do feel like I am hovering over to the ball too much.

Any tall dudes in here using +1 driver?

What is a good mid-range (price wise) driver in your opinion. Here is that I have demo from stores and tried from buds:

Titleist TSR2
Callaway Pradym
Ping G430

Those three are great drivers.

I'd say you should still get the +1

I've noticed that "mini drivers" are now a hot trend

no, not her:

new Taylormade r7 mini:

Going from 450ccs down to about 300ccs.
I like this. Never liked the ridiculous sized driver heads. I grew up hitting actual "wood" woods that looks so tiny compared to todays Fred Flintstone size drivers.
I may go back to one of my old Taylormade Burners from the 2000s and see what they still have left in them.

Maybe get a demo if possible and you haven't already and see what you think. Logically it seems you should go with that +1. See what makes you feel comfortable initially. Obviously, that's not much time to guarantee the right call, but you would get a better feel.

Drivers are like beers, you gonna have a lot of them.

You’ll like some better than others. Keep the ones you like.

As for hovering, get yourself a pre-shot routine, that you do EVERY SINGLE TIME. You’re not on the tour, so don’t copy someone like Sergio, that will annoy everyone you play with. Go find a YouTube of Lanny Wadkins playing, he takes a swing, lines up, steps up and hits it. Be more like him.

So, I am thinking about taking up golf but probably wont play much. I will just play casually and to go meet clients and such. What are some cheap golf clubs I can get and where do I get them? Thanks.

most golf shops have them and DSG has a ton. One stop shop and they aren’t that bad. That is how I started out.

find a set of Ping Eye 2 irons online. Couldn’t be any more than a few hundred bucks, they don’t make them anymore. But lawd those are easy irons to hit.

Lots of times, after a divorce, the exwife will dump all the golf clubs for cheap.
You can find clubs, putter and a nice bag for a great price. And hit on the freshly divorced MILF.
It's a WIN-WIN

I have the titleist TSR one.

Just try out the longer shafts, if not sure get fitted.
