That's why the NCAA became irrelevant.

I remember when CU was sanctioned for allowing student athletes to make long distance phone calls on Coach's accounts. Times have changed.

The worst NCAA story was the one about the player whose mother died and he had no money to get home to the funeral. His family came up with the plane tickets and Someone gave him a ride to the airport and Clemson got sanctioned by the NCAA for providing free ground transportation. They are a worthless group of pinheads and they have created their own demise with their stupidity.

The ACC was actually going to levy a penalty by limiting Clemson's pre-season practice/preparation time, that is until Swofford realized that UNCheat was doing the EXACT SAME THING. Then it went away faster than a UofSC third quarter mass exodus.

I remember the violation we committed when an athlete moved a car that was blocking the team bus. It was a CU car. Stupid.

A recruit got a free Clemson hat from someone, I think another player, while on their official visit to Clemson. This was either Ford's last year or first year for Hatfield. Had to report violation while I was in school.
Different times!

One athlete had no coat and no money to buy one and Clemson bought him a coat to get thru the winter. This was a listed NCAA violation. Swofford and the rest of the ACC have us an extra year of punishment because Ford and the Tigers were whipping their hind ends. I lost complete respect for the ACC then and they do us no favors today. We never get any respect from the conference and leadership and most of the announcers who many played for the teams we whipped.
