Yeah that stunk for sure but never happens if Ammons can get 1 out. An out. Just 1. Threw away a beauty outing by Grice. Hope we beat Charlotte at least but better figure out a way to hit the ball again.

Exactly, and he tends to make that mistake. He's gotten away with it via some deep ball outs. But we all know we've rarely had a game we closed without Any drama.
I honestly don't think Grice should have been out there. Tough call for a coach but it wasn't like a no hitter, perfect game scenario. But if you leave him in for 8 2/3 then he should have been given the chance to win it or lose it.

True. But go back just 3 weeks ago to va tech after we busted open a close game. Ammons not only gives up a bomb, he gave up 2. This is on coach for bringing in Ammons to begin with. A basehit doesn't hurt you. You bring in your best ground ball pitcher.

Let me start with saying I love Coach Bakich. Listen to Coach Bakich post game comments at the 4:55 mark. He says we will ride with Ryan Ammons any day of the week. That really caught my attention given his recent outcomes have led to HR drama. He also says maybe he should've left Grice pitch in the 9th. Nobody knows how that would have worked out, but with hindsight I'd sure like to see how that would have gone. Was also hoping coach would have been a bit stronger on Cam being tossed.

BAKICH cost us the game when he took out Grice who had given up 2 soft singles. He was loose and had plenty left in the tank. Bakich also blew the switch and put Ammons in for Amick instead of Jarrell… he should have moved Grice to RF and Ingle to C. It cost us 3 ABs for one of the best hitters on the team. Caught stealings and poor bunting were also killers.
