Possible. Stats seem about Clemson level. He’s not bad if you have a good team around him, I do think we would smack Oregon state

Stats are definitely better there

Maybe he has better weapons around him, but he's hitting more big plays. Completion % is about the same or maybe even slightly lower, but his yards per attempt and yards per completion are both significantly higher.
Detractors will immediately say its only due to facing worse defenses in the Pac 12. Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't. It's difficult to actually prove that either way because the leagues almost never play each other.

Worse defenses and he has a better OL

They are able to run effectively, which it opening up the passing game for him.

One other point, a QB typically improves year to year so DJ having better stats his senior year than his junior year is not unexpected. P12 D’s could be a factor as could a change of scenery assuming less pressure. Regardless, happy for him

Meh maybe who knows. But let's be honest, whether they are top 10 or top 20, none of it matters if you arent top 4
Keep in mind, DJ has already accomplished seasons with ranking in the top 10 and top 20 so unless he gets to the playoff he is no better than he was when he was with us in my mind

Soon only top 12 will matter. I think that is great. The NY Giants won the SB going 9-7 regular season. Sometimes teams get healthy and keep improving.

Will be short lived. DJ will lose to Washington and Oregon. His record will be 8-4, the same as Cade.

Actually Spud, the Beavs have a pretty good team.

Only a brain fart by their Coach cost them the Arizona game, and by all rights they should be 8-1. Everybody is still trying to figure out how they lost to Wash State. Their only two losses are both by 3 points.
By position, OSU's OL would definitively be a tough task, even for our DL. Maybe DJU wouldn't have as long to sit back against us as he does against UCLA, but we wouldn't harass him continually either. We'd need Skalski and Spector to come back before I saw that happening.
They also have something that has given us major, major fits: a big load of a RB (actually two of them) with very game worthy speed. He has 1000 yards already this year. The comp is Mafah (likely even more physical, believe it or not), and as much as I love Phil, Martinez has the experience over him.
And their defense is legit. Wash St gave them fits by going over the top with speed - speed unfortunately that we don't have.
If OSU can keep you on the ground and in front of them, they're tough to put up numbers on. Of course, who exactly have we put up "numbers" on in the last two years?
They also have a DL that would be tough on our OL.
They'll get beat by Oregon, but might put a scare into Washington at home next week. As always, DJU has to stay up, and the Utah QB gave UW a hard time in the 1st half today with his arm.
Personally, I think the only way we beat them is to get turnovers, and for Cade to keep Brinny/Beau/Brown on full rotisserie. Cade's getting better, but we'd need 250+ from him and at least 35-38 points. I don't think we're there yet, but maybe by Dec. 31?
At any rate, even as I have watched all of their games this year, it's still just MHO. Have a great one, Mike.

They beat us 28-7. That is a stomping. Scoreboard is a thing.

I follow the Beavs as they are my second favorite team. Their success isn't because of DJU. He is still the same qb, without having to make any realtime decisions.

I’m glad he is not the Clemson quarterback this year.
Nice guy. Met him once. Wish him well.

I recall DJU looking pretty good when he had the same supporting cast Trevor Lawrence had. No, DJ didn’t play very well when he was the starter but the sucky offense wasn’t all his fault. He was just the most visible part of it.

I've watched him a lot. I think he's a class act and I hope he finishes strong. When he was here weren't his parents separated or going through a divorce? A kid a long way from home, with the pressure of that added to the pressure of following Trevor seems a difficult scenario. He never backed away and I've never seen a negative comment from him in the media. He will always be a favorite of mine.
