Hey people that drink water

My water has tiny black particles. Sometimes it takes me 10-15 seconds to spot one, but they are there.
I called the water company and was like "my water has tiny black particles" and they said they would flush the lines.
If my water line runs approx 400 ft to the house from the tap and we eat breakfast for dinner on Wednesdays and today is a Wednesday, how long do I run the sink to see if it made a difference?

Unscrew the bottom piece of your faucet and check the little screen in there.

Flow is prolly about 2 gallons a minute.

Prolly a 1" line ran to your house.
It will take about 5-6 minutes of running your sink to flush that line. But that is just an estimate. You would prolly need to get an experienced estimator to estimate it for you.

but using rain or spring water takes a lot of effort to make sure your lines stay clear and you have to engineer a system to make sure the collection point can still flow and fill your storage tank so that if you try to have guests stay there they wont run out of water because then they would give you a horrible review since water is fairly critical to have when you are paying money to stay at an awesome place on a river and hopefully what you engineer is working and this will be the last that you have to go down there on a weekend and finally be able to list the thing.
Just my thoughts.
