Chris Hairston has re-signed with the San Diego Chargers will a new two-year deal according to multiple reports.
Hairston had interest from the Steelers before re-upping with the Chargers. He played in 16 games (11 starts) last season as he displayed his versatility performing at LT (9 starts), LG (1 start), RG (1 start) and RT at different times. In 2014, he played 38 total snaps (played all 16 games as a reserve) after missing the entire 2013 season on the reserve-non-football injury list. In 2012, he was placed on IR and had subsequent surgery to remove some loose pieces of bone. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft (#122 overall) and was part of the 2011 draft-day trade with linebacker Tank Cardner that sent running back Marshawn Lynch from Buffalo to Seattle. While at Clemson, he played in 47 games including 36 starts and was named first-team All-ACC in 2011.
