Clifton Geathers may be the most highly regarded prospect in the 2006 class that remains unsigned. Geathers did not take any official visits during the month of January. It appeared Geathers was headed to I-AA or prep school, but now things are starting to change.

Geathers has made official visits to Florida State and Georgia. Geathers is headed to Florida this weekend. Geathers final stop could be to Clemson.

This comes as a surprise to most who follow Clemson’s recruiting. It did not appear that the Tigers were still involved with Geathers.

According to the Geathers family, the official visit to Clemson will be March 4. The family did not wish to elaborate on Geathers situation, but they did say a decision could come shortly after his visit to Clemson.

There are still likely to be some academic concerns with Geathers. Geathers could play tackle on either side of the ball, but we believe Clemson’s interest with Geathers will likely fall on defense at this time.

We will continue to track Geathers’ recruitment
