From Corey Long of ESPN:
"I'm really looking forward to checking out things with the coaches here, talking with them and watching some film," Lewis said. "I've always had a good feeling about this program." Lewis, who says he grew up as a fan of Clemson, is looking for a program that has a lot of pieces in place. "I want to be somewhere with an offense that's ready to win because I know any defense that I am on will be better," Lewis said. "A program with a good strength program and a good defensive line to open up opportunities for the linebackers is another thing I'm looking for. "And campus life, of course, I mean I'm going to be living there for a while so the campus life needs to be good." As a junior, he had 65 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks. Clemson has not offered Lewis for next year's recruiting class.
While Lewis' trip to Tallahassee will be short, he is hoping to spend much of his time with the FSU coaching staff.
