Deshaun Watson shows support for Kelly Bryant |
Former Clemson quarterback
Deshaun Watson is currently battling Tom Savage for the starting quarterback position for the Houston Texans. However, that doesn't mean he can't give his two cents about his former teammate and friend
Kelly Bryant's playing ability for the upcoming season.
Watson knows that Bryant has waited his turn despite other talented young quarterbacks on the roster wanting playing time including Zerrick Cooper, Hunter Johnson, Chase Brice, and Tucker Israel. "It's KB's team!" Watson posted on Saturday night. "He gone do what he needs to do in his own style/way to create his own legacy! He will be GREAT!" Bryant was asked this week about Watson and how he will be similar to the former two-time Heisman finalist. “I try not to imitate anybody," Bryant said. "I just try to be myself and have fun with it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I am going to enjoy it to the fullest and not put too much pressure on myself,” Bryant said. “I don’t want to try to be like Deshaun. Deshaun wasn’t Tajh Boyd and Tajh Boyd wasn’t Kyle Parker when he was here. They all did different things with the offense and I am going to try and be myself.” It's KB's team! He gone do what he needs to do in his own style/way to create his own legacy! He will be GREAT! ?? https://t.co/U1Hbx3pO2c
