CLEMSON – Wide receiver Derrick Hamilton and defensive tackle Donnell Washington, who both decided to leave Clemson after their junior campaign, were both selected in the third round of Saturday’s NFL Draft.

Green Bay traded their 86th pick (23rd pick; 3rd round) and the 118th pick (22nd pick; 4th round) to the Jacksonville Jaguars to move up to select Washington with the 9th pick of the third round (No. 72 overall).

"We moved up (to get Washington) because we thought he was special at his position," said Packer Defensive Coordinator Bob Slowik. "He has a big upsize. We felt like we got a second rounder in the third."

Five picks later, San Francisco took Hamilton with the 14th pick of the third round (No. 77 overall).

"He's got a great upside to him; great size, great speed," San Francisco head coach Dennis Erickson said of Hamilton. "He's also a return guy and was the best in the ACC last year. This definitely fills a need for us."
