Clemson Football Injury Update

by -

Clemson, SC---Clemson starting offensive guard Barry Humphries suffered a knee injury against Alabama and will miss at least the upcoming game against The Citadel. Humphries suffered the injury in the first half, his 19th play of the game. He will have surgery this week and after the surgery the extent of his absence from the lineup will be determined.

As a result, freshman Mason Cloy will move into the starting lineup at right guard. Cloy is a 310 pounder from Columbia, SC and Spring Valley High School. Cloy played 23 plays against Alabama.

Clemson starting defensive end Ricky Sapp suffered a bruised knee against Alabama and is questionable for The Citadel at this point. Wide receiver Terrence Ashe suffered a sprained foot and is questionable for The Citadel. Wide receiver Jacoby Ford was shaken up during the game after a jarring hit that took him to the turf. He is probable for The Citadel.
