From HTPreps:
"I don't see me waiting until after the season,'' Sandberg said. He also said he will not graduate from Manatee early and bypass his senior season of baseball to enroll at a college to prepare for football. Sandberg, a standout centerfielder for Manatee, said if he is drafted high enough in the June 2013 major-league draft he would consider playing baseball instead of football. The money would have to be right though. "There is no way I'd rule it out,'' Sandberg said. "There is so much money in baseball and some of the things guys are signing for are pretty crazy. I'd be very interested in playing baseball at the next level.'' Clemson running back coach Tony Elliott went to visit him on Monday. Dual-threat signal caller that threw for 2855 yards and 25 touchdowns while rushing for a little over 600 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore. The 2010 season was Sandberg’s first as a varsity starter, and he led Manatee (Bradenton, FL) to an undefeated regular season and a 13-1 overall finish as they lost to eventual state champ St. Thomas Aquinas in the state semi-finals.
Sandberg said he will take his five official visits next year and then plans to orally commit to a school midway through the football season.
