Clemson guard enters transfer portal |
Junior Clemson guard
Al-Amir Dawes has entered the transfer portal, TigerNet has confirmed.
Dawes averaged a career-best 11.3 points per game last season, starting 25 of the 31 games. He released a statement on social media later on in the afternoon. "I've been able to grow as a young man on and off the court and I give my thanks to the program and the university for that," Dawes said. "I also want to give my thanks to my teammates, family, and friends for making this journey a hell of a ride. I will never forget the moments and lessons that I've experienced here at this university. "With that being said I will be entering the transfer portal." He has played 88 total games in Clemson with 66 starts, averaging 9.9 points. Dawes is a Newark, New Jersey native. He joins Nick Honor as Tiger backcourt regulars to transfer this offseason.
