For the most part, I like the schedule. First game test, but not overwhelming for a new QB. We get an early test with Auburn and Louisville. We get a week break before GT and the Citadel before chickens. However, as I have written before, Thursday and Friday night games are unacceptable. I know Dabo will publicly say that we will play who comes and when we have to do so, but I bet he is not happy about Friday night at Syracuse.

Friday night in this part of the country is high school football. Saturday games allow for recruiting weekends. Travel to road games for Friday night is much more difficult for people with jobs, businesses, and families. The ACC does not get that and never will. I guess ESPN money rules the football world, but I don't see Bama, Ohio State, USC (real one), Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan or other ranked schools outside of ACC playing on lower ratings nights.

Absolutely unacceptable. Is it really 7 months before we kick off again??

87 Tiger

87 Tiger,

I agree and hate Friday night games. I did see where Ohio State, Washington, Stanford, Southern Cal and a few others are playing on Friday this year. Others can do what they please, but I am not a fan of Clemson football on any day but Saturday.

One play in the basketball game against Virginia Tech pretty describes Clemson basketball over the last few years. With the score tied at 62, Clemson tried to inbound the ball on the side in front of their bench, the result was a poor scheme, a worse pass, a dunk by Va Tech who went on a 6-0 run and was able to hold on for the win. Let's face it, with the construction last year and having to play in Greenville, Clemson was not going to pull the plug on Brad Brownell. After spending all the years of mediocre at best performance and now spending all the money on the new, again, Littlejohn, Clemson must make a change. The team just does not play hard enough, pass, shoot or rebound well enough and looks to be headed for a last place finish in the ACC. As Dabo said, if you do something once, you can do it again and Clemson has had good basketball teams way more than once. It is past time to do it again.

I feel your frustration. I think Dan Radakovich will have an easy decision in March. If this team turns it around Brad will be here. If not, he won't. I think this will be a fairly clear-cut decision when March rolls around.

I understand that today Paul Finebaum admitted on air that he should have voted for DW4 not Lamar Jackson.

Great, but a bit late! While I'm glad he is man enough to make this admission but I do not understand how someone who's job 24/7 is college sports be fooled by LJ's early season successes were vs mostly cupcakes (except FSU.)

Your comments please. Any chance the Heisman Foundation changes their voting to include the whole season and fewer, better informed voters?

It makes no sense that they most important games of the season are not considered because the trophy goes out too soon. In the old days, national champions were crowned before the bowl games, but we wised up. I hope they will consider a change soon, but like you said, it's not soon enough for Watson.

My question is can Clemson put together a few video documentaries like Steve Sabol did for the NFL. I think Don Munson is the guy to make that happen right. He could do one for the season and one for the championship game and narrate it. What say you Mr. Plyler this will sell.

Great idea Wendell. Yes, I think it could sell. They used to do this years ago with Jim Phillips and I think it is time to bring it back. Thanks for the suggestion. I will ask Don.
