After Further Review

I sat down yesterday and reviewed the video of the Auburn game and came away with a few general thoughts.

The atmosphere was fantastic. The game had a big-time feel to it and the crowd responded with energy.

impressed me again in several areas. First, he helped Boyd improve in his role as the quarterback coach. Second, his game plan was terrific. Third, the pace of his offense is as fast as any I have ever seen. Finally, he made nice adjustments throughout the game.

The offense looked balanced throughout the game. It reminded me of the Maryland game last year except it was against a better defense. Clemson did not hit huge plays in the passing game and dropped too many balls but it was a balanced offense.

Clemson had seven drives of nine or more plays and only had one three-and-out.

The pistol formation gives Morris more running options.

Drive Chart

I took notes throughout the game and wanted to try something new with the blog today. I hope you like it. If you do, we may do it every week.

Below is a drive chart with notes on keys to each drive. The bold type is the drive description. It tells you which team had the ball, what quarter the drive started in, where the drive started, the time of the start of the drive, how the team got the ball, where they got the ball, how the drive ended, how many plays the drive took, how many yards the offense had each drive and how long the drive lasted. Below each drive is a few notes on keys to the drive. Hope you will enjoy.
