26 Game Winning Streak
How do you beat a team that has won 26 consecutive football games? It's is tough, but that is the task when Clemson takes the field Monday. Here are few thoughts on how to beat Alabama: No Non-Offensive Touchdowns Clemson can't afford to give up a scoop and score off of a fumble, a pick six, a kickoff return, a blocked punt or punt return for a score. No one is better than Alabama at this, so this is an obvious key, Finding a Running Game No one runs the ball for 200 yards against Alabama. They are too big and too fast to allow that. However, you have to show some balance on offense. You can't just drop back and chunk it every down. I would think 125 yards rushing would be huge. Match the Physicality

No Non-Offensive Touchdowns
Clemson can't afford to give up a scoop and score off of a fumble, a pick six, a kickoff return, a blocked punt or punt return for a score. No one is better than Alabama at this, so this is an obvious key,
Finding a Running Game
No one runs the ball for 200 yards against Alabama. They are too big and too fast to allow that. However, you have to show some balance on offense. You can't just drop back and chunk it every down. I would think 125 yards rushing would be huge.
Match the Physicality
I always say, "You don't try to out Bama, Bama." The idea of lining up and smashing Alabama should never cross anyone's minds. However, you have to try to match their physicality as much as you can.
Match the Talent Level
No one is as talented as Alabama, but you better have more than your share of four and five-star superstars. If you go back to the previous losses, the teams that have upset Alabama have had great football for players. Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State and LSU have had special players.
Many teams are beat before they play Alabama. Most teams don't believe they can beat the Crimson Tide. They are similar to the Iron Mike Tyson days where the heavyweight champions beat most opponents before they stepped into the ring.
The last four teams that have beaten Alabama have all had mobile quarterbacks. Each quarterback was able to move around and buy more time to make passing plays downfield.
Passing windows against Alabama's talented secondary are very tight. You need a quarterback who can fit receptions into this very tight windows.
Most teams don't get into the red zone very often against this kind of defense, but when you do you need to convert those opportunities into touchdowns instead of field goals.
Throughout the game, there will be other keys, but these are the ones that come to mind four days before the rematch.
