Clemson, SC—Six Clemson football players, including current Tigers Chris Clemons and Paul Macko, will receive undergraduate degrees from Clemson University on Saturday. The graduation ceremonies will be held at Littlejohn Coliseum beginning at 11:00 AM.

Former Clemson players Ray Ray McElrathbey, Jad Dean, Marion Dukes and Elsmore Gabriel will also receive their diplomas on Saturday.

Clemons is in his third year as a starting safety on Clemson’s top 10 ranked defense. He and fellow starting safety Michael Hamlin will

play as graduates this year. Macko is a reserve running back.

Clemson will have seven active players on its 2008 roster who have already earned their academic degrees. In addition to Macko and Clemons, Cullen Harper, Jimmy Maners, Mark Buchholz, Michael Hamlin, and Akeem Robinson will play the 2008 season as Clemson graduates.

McElrathbey will continue his academic and athletic career at Howard University in Washington, DC this year.

Dean and Dukes were seniors during the 2006 season. With their graduation on Saturday it means all 20 seniors on the 2006 roster will have their degrees from Clemson University.
