Defensive Coordinator Reggie Herring Resigns |
CLEMSON - The rumored departure of Clemson defensive coordinator Reggie
Herring became fact Wednesday. Herring resigned his job with the Tigers to become the defensive coordinator at Ole Miss, according to a source speaking on the condition he not be identified. An official announcement is expected to come from Ole Miss sometime late this afternoon or early this evening. A spokesperson in the school's sports information department refused to comment Wednesday afternoon, but indicated a release was expected. Attempts to reach Herring Wednesday afternoon were unsuccessful. Herring cleaned out his office before an afternoon meeting with Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden, and calls to his office no longer are forwarded to a voice mailbox. More information will be forthcoming as it becomes available. Related Articles Dan Scott covers Clemson University for the Florence Morning News.
