Like some of his future line-mates, the four-star (Scott PaganoScott Pagano Defensive Tackle 6-4, 280 Honolulu, HI View Full Profile) displays a very nice initial burst and is capable of being a disruptive presence. He is a big, strong kid with room to add more good mass and with continued improvement in technique can be a stout interior run defender. The Tigers have added some pieces that can get after the quarterback coming off the edge and with a prospect like Pagano they have a potential presence inside that can collapse the depth of the pocket and make it harder for quarterbacks to escape the heat that could be coming from the outside.
Pagano now adds to a D-Line class that is becoming increasingly stronger, which is good as Clemson needs to try and replace some of the quality D-Linemen they have lost, while also continuing to try and strengthen that defense. Time will tell, but Clemson is doing a nice job of bringing in prospects that can help them to build a disruptive and tough defensive line.
