Height: 6-2 Weight: 195 Hometown: Aiken, SC (Silver Bluff HS) Class: 2012
From the Aiken Standard:
In 2010, Tankersley rushed for more than 1,500 yards, threw for more than 800, played a part in 24 touchdowns and led Silver Bluff High School to a 10-2 season that included a region championship and a trip to the second round of the Class AA playoffs. This year he's back under center for the second year - he was a receiver and a part-time quarterback as a sophomore in 2009 - ready to add to his legacy. He has the arm strength to make opponents pay with the deep ball and the legs to keep them honest up front. In fact, Tankersley's abilities made veteran coach Al Lown abandon the Wing-T attack that had led him to so much past success in favor of a spread formation to best utilize Tankersley's assets in 2010. With a year of experience in that system under his belt, "Tootie" could be even better this year.
As much as Williams meant to the Predators, Cordrea "Tootie" Tankersley may have had an even bigger impact at Silver Bluff, helping the Bulldogs maintain their winning tradition.
