Watson's only goal this season: "To Go Undefeated" |
Clemson sophomore quarterback
Deshaun Watson
Deshaun Watson "None really," Watson said. "The only thing I really want to do is go undefeated. All the stats on Saturdays I really don't focus on that as long as we get that W. I just go out there and do what I can do." Watson completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,466 yards (10.7 per attempt) and 14 touchdowns and only two interceptions and had a quarterback rating of 188.57 in his rookie campaign. He is confident that the Clemson offense will continue to be explosive even without the direction of former offensive coordinator Chad Morris. "Coach Morris would probably tell you the same thing this was never his offense," Watson said. "It is the Clemson offense. We are all in it together. Just going into this game Saturday it's going to be the same as everyday before - preparing with a purpose and fast tempo and try to score a lot of points and try to pull out that W. The preparation and mindset don't change because someone left. We still want to be the best and be the most explosive offense in the country."
