Tigers move up in latest Baseball Polls

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Tigers, who are 21-7 overall and 7-5 in the ACC (fourth in the overall league standings) moved up to No. 16 in the USA Today coaches poll on Monday. Clemson is also ranked No. 17 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 21 by Baseball America. The Tigers won four of five games last week, including a series win over Pittsburgh.

The Tigers are led at the plate by freshman outfielder Seth Beer, who is hitting .422 with 12 homers, eight doubles, 34 RBIs, 28 runs, a .522 on-base percentage and .911 slugging percentage in 26 games. He is also riding a 24-game hitting streak, tied for sixth longest in school history.

The Tigers play four games this week on the road, beginning with their annual trek to Athens to take on Georgia on Tuesday night on SEC Network+. Then over the weekend, Clemson plays Duke at Jack Coombs Field in Durham, N.C.
