Spiller and Bills discuss new long-term deal

General Manager Doug Whaley told WGR-AM on Tuesday that he had a sit down meeting with Spiller's representatives about a new long-term contract with the Bills.

Whaley said about Spiller, " "He's a playmaker, and we're trying to keep as many playmakers as possible."

The former Clemson star is in his final year of his rookie deal with the Bills. Spiller was drafted by the Bills with the #9 overall pick in 2010.

In the Week 1 23-20 win agains the Bears, Spiller had 15 carries for 53 yards and 3 catches for 11 yards including a touchdown.
