MLB All-Star loses bet, dons Clemson jersey |
Minnesota Twins outfielder Torii Hunter was a good sport Sunday and put on a Clemson shirt and hat after loding a bet with Clemson fan and KTSP-TV Sports Photojournalist Parker Drake Anderson.
"Friday, I asked him before the game if he wanted to make a bet, either money for charity or pic with winners hat and shirt," Anderson told TigerNet. "He said pic and we shook on it. After the game yesterday I went by his locker and told him I'd be bringing an orange hat and shirt to the game Sunday. He laughed and showed me an Irish shirt in his locker and said he has this for me. After the Twins' games we had our interviews and afterwards he looks at me and says, 'C'mon.' He puts the hat and shirt on and we pose. He was laughing and joking the whole time. He is a class act." Hunter's son, Torii Hunter, Jr., is a wide receiver for Notre Dame. Hunter had five catches for 52 yards and a touchdown in Notre Dame's 24-22 loss at Clemson Saturday. He is a man of his word! @toriihunter48 (Torii Hunter) and I made a bet on the #Clemson #NotreDame… https://t.co/lzsVHTKTYs Torii Hunter grudgingly paid off a bet with KSTP cameraman Parker Anderson after the game. pic.twitter.com/wOHXnFa4yv
