Former Clemson standout Grady Jarrett was honored by having his football number #50 retired on Friday at Rockdale High School.

"It's hard to put it in words [high school number retired]," Jarrett said to the media that were in attendance. "It is an indescribable feeling all the hard times you been through, it's worth it. You know it makes you want to go that much harder cause you have all these people looking up to you. When you do good, it gives them pride and joy, that's awesome to me."

Jarrett tied a Super Bowl Record with three sacks and would have probably won the Super Bowl MVP award if the Falcons could have hung on against the Patriots. He was just the second player ever to sack Tom Brady three times in a single game since Joey Porter did it in 2004.

"Hurting for my City n for my brothers," Jarett tweeted after the game. "I thank God for the opportunity, but at this point, there's nothing to do but to go back to work." #Bless

In 2016, he had 58 tackles, six sacks, and a fumble recovery.
