FSU coach on title game: "Clemson is going to get theirs"

by - Assoc. Editor -

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher was on the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday and talked about the upcoming title game matchup with Clemson and Alabama.

“Deshaun [Watson] is special,” Fisher said. “In a lot of ways. He controls the tempo of the game. He has the ability to. When it’s up, it’s up, when it’s down, it’s down, and bring them back to even keel, no matter what. He’s arguably the best player in the country, he really is. He is a phenomenal player to compete against, he really is.”

Fisher thinks that Alabama will need to score decent if they want to keep up with Clemson's high-octane offense.

“Clemson is going to get theirs,” Fisher said. “I think the key matchup, as much as anything, is how much Alabama scores. Just like last year. No one thought Alabama would score 45.”
