Alexander listed on Preseason All-America team

by - Assoc. Editor -

Athlon Sports released its 2015 Preseason All-America teams on Tuesday. The All-America team projections were based on how players will perform in 2015 and not as much on past statistics and awards.

Clemson defensive back Mackenzie Alexander was listed on the third-team defensive All-America team.

Alexander finished the 2014 season with 22 tackles, two tackles for loss and six pass breakups over 13 games. It was the most snaps in school history by a freshman (766).

The ACC had the fifth most All-America selections (15).
