WATCH: Shaffer has huge game against Charlotte

went 4-4 with two home runs in Durham's 10-8 win over Charlotte on Thursday night.

The two homers total 21 for Shaffer on the season which is third in the entire minor leagues (Brett Walker and A.J. Reed). In 77 games this season, he has .272 average with 21 home runs and 51 RBI's. He will represent the Rays' organization at the Futures game this season.

"I felt like I had a good day," Shaffer told MiLB.com. "I just saw some good pitches to hit and didn't miss them."

Shaffer has very high expectations for himself and his baseball play.

"No one has higher expectations for me than me," Shaffer told MiLB.com. "I always expect to go out there and produce at a high level because of the work I put in. I think people tend to develop at their own pace. I made some adjustments when I needed to make them."

He led all Tampa Bay Rays prospects with 19 dingers in 2014.

The former Clemson product was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round (25th overall) of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft.
