by - Assoc. Editor -

Houston Texans rookie Deshaun Watson completed 16-for-31 passes for 261 yards with five passing touchdowns in the 42-34 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.

The five passing touchdowns tied an NFL record for rookies.

However, Watson also showed his defensive skills with a touchdown-saving tackle in the second quarter when he took down linebacker Derrick Johnson after a fumble recovery. The Chiefs ended up settling for a field goal on their ensuing drive.
