will more than likely start for several weeks in place of injured Charger linebacker Manti Te'o.

Te'o will miss extensive time with a foot fracture that he suffered Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. This is his second injury to this right foot this season. He also had surgery on his right foot this past off-season.

With the Colts in four seasons, Conner had recorded 236 tackles, seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one sack. In 2013, he was hampered with injuries and played in 10 games and had 21 tackles. Overall, he's made 36 starts in 52 career games. He was drafted by the Colts in the seventh round in 2010.

The Chargers will next face the winless Jaguars on Sunday.
