Former Clemson DB signs with Argonauts

A lengthy professional football career continues.

Former Clemson defensive back Crezdon Butler has signed with CFL's Toronto Argonauts on Wednesday.

In the last two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the 32-year old had 70 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.

Butler has 27 career tackles and two forced fumbles while playing for seven different NFL teams including Pittsburgh (2010), Arizona (2011), Washington (2011-2012), Buffalo (2012-2013), San Diego (2013), Tampa Bay (2014), and Detroit (2015-2016). He appeared in two playoff games with the Chargers in 2013 and played in a total of 46 career NFL games.

He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round (#164 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. At Clemson, he finished his collegiate career with 174 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, and 11 interceptions including 243 interception return yards.
