During an interview with Mark Packer on SiriusXM's College Sports Today, Swinney talked about the chemistry that exists with he, Brent Venables, and Chad Morris. Dabo said, "We do have a lot of energy. It's fun. We're all the same age, all within about a year or so of each other. We got a lot of similarities with our backgrounds and values. So that's fun. We're all on the same page. It's been fun watching Brent and Chad work together. And that's a big part of it, especially when you maybe doing things a little bit differently offensively. That's one of the things about hiring Brent that was exciting to me about him was his background not only defending the spread, but also practicing against it every day as well. Just brings a lot of expertise and knowledge in that area. Hopefully, he's going to help us to shore things back up defensively this year with some of the things we struggled with last year."
